100% April

springtime in London - The Optical Journal

100% Optical, the UK optical super show scheduled to take place for the first time in person, January 22-24, 2022, has been postponed because of the huge surge of coronavirus cases in the U.K.  Following the lead of opti Munich’s move from early January to mid-May next year, the organizers of 100% Optical, Media 10, and the AOP yesterday announced the show will now take place April 23-25, 2022.

Nathan Garnett, Director for 100% Optical said: “We really appreciate how patient exhibitors, sponsors, and record-breaking numbers of visitors have been over this tough period. This show has gained so much support over the last few months, we have a duty to deliver it,  as soon as it is safe to do so and as early as we can in 2022. We look forward to seeing you in the Spring.”

100% Optical Education Program

Adam Sampson, CEO of the Association of Optometrists, said: “We fully support Media 10 in the decision to delay 100% Optical 2022, and applaud the speed at which the team has found a new date in April. As the show’s official partner, we look forward to being part of an event that brings the profession together again – but only at a time when it is safe for everyone to do so.”

2022 will be the first 100% Optical presented with the merger of Optrfair into the London show announced in 2020. 100% Optical will take place in the ExCel Center in London. Springtime in London and eyewear. Jolly good.
