A fairly new eyewear company recently came to our attention. 2 Peacocks Eyewear. Not only do we love the eyewear, we love the mixing of symbols, eyewear and jewelry. The name come from peacocks in India, which symbolized Royalty and Power. This is what they say:
‘One of the most important symbols of this was the so-called PEACOCK THRONE, built in the early 17th century for Şah Jahan. The name was taken from 2 peacocks covered in gold and jewels that were part of the throne.’
That said 2 Peacocks captured the ornate and rich look of the Peacock Throne. The materials they use are titanium, horn and gold to create bold looks. The temple tip reminds me of an ear-lobe-plug, even that makes a statement.
Double Up in titanium and horn is a a classic retro look with titanium bridges.
Fly Me Over is a new take on the aviator shape. Tear-dropped lenses are held in by hooks and outlined in embossed titanium.
The Doge of Venice is made with titanium, comes in four colors. The side shield is a meshed and wrapped venetian look.
If this is their ‘first’ real collection, I cannot wait to see how they evolve. This spectacular collection hails for Israel and is in limited edition quanities
