Since its introduction in 1999, Silhouette’s Titan Minimal Art has been a top seller, setting a benchmark for premium rimless eyewear design. With its extreme comfort and light weight, only 1.8 grams, this style has more than demonstrated its reliability and ease in daily wear.
For the annual National Sales Meeting, held in Puerto Rico this year, the account executives participated in the “60 Ways to Wear TMA” contest. In this contest, they were asked to creatively customize their own TMA design – proving the infinite ways that this iconic frame can be personalized.
These individual designs, showcased on podiums during the awards night cocktail hour, were impressive, and included everything from unique lens shapes and tints, original edge treatments and faux rims – and some even used crystals to add some shimmer to their TMA.
After a tough deliberation, the top three winners were chosen: Eron Chek, Christine Price and Scott Lewis. For Eron’s first place win, she created a bevy of sparkle with handset crystals, while Christine made an artist’s palette with colored crystals as the paint. And Scott collaborated with Luxe Lab to create a rimless faux-rim style, featuring a double bridge.
Kristen McLaughlin, Director of Marketing, explained, “In the spirit of honoring the iconic Titan Minimal Art collection, which we’re celebrating with the introduction of TMA Pulse this Spring, what better way than to ask our sales team to express their creativity through their own customized and artful lenses- it was a challenge to narrow it down to three, as every pair was a winner.”
This fun-spirited contest exemplified the timeliness and relevance of the TMA Icon design, proving it overrides fashion trends and can be worn by any individual, in any era.
