Altair’s JOE FW23 Collection, Introducing Recycled Stainless Steel

Altair’s JOE by Joseph Abboud introduces the Fall eyewear collection, featuring sustainable materials as the brand continues its socially conscious belief of “Just One Earth.” Available now, the “Renewed” eyewear offering features four new optical styles, two made from plant-based resin, and two designed in recycled stainless steel – a first for the brand and the Altair portfolio. Timeless and sophisticated, the new eyewear styles are comprised of best-selling shapes, a sport-casual aesthetic, classic crystal and gradient colorations and extended-size offerings.

Plant-based resin is made from castor-bean oil and is a cleaner alternative to standard petroleum-based plastics. Frames made with plant-based resin are lightweight and durable.

Steel is the most recycled material on the planet. Frames are derived from 91% recycled stainless steel, collected from consumer usage, and renewed into frame-fronts, bridges, or temples.

JOE4105 – This classic rectangle shape is designed in plant-based resin, offered in crystal and solid colorations, and gives a sporty-casual vibe. Available in Black, Smoke Crystal, and Tortoise (sizes 55 and 58).

JOE4106 – Featured in the advertising campaign, this square optical style is designed in plant-based resin. Lightweight and comfortable, this frame is available in Crystal, Smoke Gradient, and Olive Gradient (size 53).

JOE4107 – Sleek and sophisticated. This semi-rimless modified rectangle style is designed in recycled stainless steel, while the linear-detailed temples are constructed in plant-based resin. Available in Gunmetal, Blackjack, and Midnight (size 56).

JOE4108 – Featured in the advertising campaign, this full-rim modified rectangle is designed in recycled stainless steel, featuring adjustable temples and spring hinges for an all-day comfortable fit. Available in Midnight, Blackjack, and Gunmetal (size 55 and 57).
