ClearVision Optical Hosts ‘Take Your Child to Work Day’ at Company Headquarters

On January 20th ClearVision Optical invited children of the company’s employees, in 6th to 8th grades, to take part in a day filled with events, learning and lots of fun at ClearVision’s headquarters, located in Hauppauge, New York. This is the company’s 3rd year planning and participating in the exciting day.

Sixteen children marched into ClearVision’s front doors bright and early at 9 am on Monday, prepared to see what their parents do every day at work, and learn more about the optical industry. As a company that embraces continuous education, opportunities for training, and cross-department learning experiences, ClearVision’s internal Customer Service Ambassador Team greeted each child and briefed the group on the day’s agenda which included STEM activities, individualized learning sessions, a customer experience workshop, a collaborative art project, and a fun ‘Escape the Room’ challenge.

“It was great to see where my mom works, and meet her friends at ClearVision,” commented Julie Trakhtenberg, daughter to Senior Talent Leader Jennifer Trakhtenberg. “I got to design a brochure and have fun with other students solving puzzles to escape the conference room.”

Throughout the course of the day, each child attended two individualized sessions where they had an opportunity to learn more about a particular area of ClearVision’s business that interested them. Students were able to select from customized lessons in product development, 3D printing, business development, graphic design, photography, videography, sales support, quality control, and distribution center support, among others.

Before wrapping up for the day, all sixteen children took a tour of ClearVision’s distribution center and corporate offices, spent time shadowing their parents, and learned about the company’s unique culture built on service, care, and fun. “One of the values Fred, our founder, deeply believed in was setting a strong example for our children and giving back to the community that supports you,” stated David Friedfeld, President at ClearVision Optical. “As a family-run company, we look forward to hosting our employee’s children each year, and showing these students the innovative and fun culture that exists at ClearVision today.”
