Shirley did this great post on Taking Care of your Health and Doggie Sunglasses. – Started thinking about my friend Stephanie, in a visit to her OD would have bought a pair for her dog. In fact most of the dog owners I know would buy a pair, I would have bought a pair for my neighbors dog. Started thinking- could this be a fun little impulse buy item for you to offer in your office. A small little display, with a medium sized picture of a dog wearing sunglasses, 4-5 pair on a riser and a little blurb on cataracts and pet eye health. Maybe you wouldn’t sell alot, but it could increase your Talk Factor. People like Shirley (and me) would ask the Dog Owner, ‘Hey where did you get those Sunglasses?” Hopefully the response would be ‘I got them at XYZ Optical.
There are Animal Eye Doctors – you wouldn’t be detracting from them- just a little fun extra, non- managed care item to show your concern not only for your patients eye health, but the eye health of their pets.
If you think there’s no market on Doggie Sunglasses- they are selling Dog Sunglasses on the Internet.
