Ellen Tracy has released their latest optical collection for September, ideal for today’s modern, working woman. This latest release strikes the perfect balance between youthful attitude and grown-up glamour. Ellen Tracy, as a brand, is known for her designs for the sophisticated woman who lives in the moment. The latest eyewear releases are true to that brand – polished, inspired, and dynamic – with each look easily transitioning from career-wear during the day, to out on the town at night.
In many of the looks, you’ll see a new take on the latest trend of using crystal colors, shown in the horns. There are shades of blush, green, berry, purples, fades, and multicolor tortoises. In this collection we see metals being reinvented by offering rounder shapes, making the profiles thinner, and mixing colors by having a different color on the outside to contrast the inside and in some cases, even a multi-color tip. The collection has six new models being released in total with three acetate frames and three metal frames. Each frame is named for a different place in the world to coincide with the overall European style and flair of the collection.
Pamplona: An almond eye shape in a classic but bold look. The print on the front of the rims are echoed in the matching temples. Pamplona offers rich, vibrant colors due to the acetate material used. The colors are strong and beautiful while the pattern effect is subtle and fun. Color options offered are multi-color Teal Tortoise (shown), fiery Berry Horn, and feminine Rose Tortoise.
Tortosa: A rectangular eye shape featuring a clean, metal, and plastic combination temple design. This frame also features a crystal horn fade with clean and simple lines. The acetate material used again gives us robust colors. Tortosa is available in sleek Black Tortoise (shown), Tortoise Laminate, and a soft Purple Fade.
Sedan: A modified oval eye shape with a classic metal and plastic combination temple design. Sedan is available in Black Tortoise Fade and the tortoise style is a multi-color tortoise, with the same temple as Tortosa. Also available are colors Brown Horn Laminate and Teal Horn Laminate (shown).
Hamburg: A nylon cord semi-rimless construction featuring a beautiful butterfly eye shape with a flat metal brow line. Hamburg has elegantly contoured metal temples. There is also a soft layering effect within the metal on the rims that is accented by a gold back-face. Color options are Brown, Navy, and Wine (shown).
Lorca: A modified round eye shape using a flat metal brow line (a best-selling feature) with a soldered lower rim wire, accented by a beautifully contoured metal and acetate combination temple design. Lorca is a casted frame, so wearers get the true depth and beauty of the contour. Available in classic colors Gunmetal (shown), Brown, and Wine.
Cordoba: A thin, square metal eye shape with a flat metal brow line featuring a soldered lower rim wire with a rich combination metal and acetate temples. Cordoba’s square shape and simpler temple offers a clean and elegant look. This frame does not feature contouring, but rather a sleek, simple, and classy design. Color options are Brown Gold, Plum (shown), and Teal.
