Euroinsights -Optical Journal

Summertime! For many people, it is the most beloved season of the year. A wonderful harmony of freedom; balmy breezes; seaside strolls; country picnics; and barbeques in dusky twilight with birdsong accompaniment are just a few of the multiple pleasures that summer provides. That ambiance of liberation also lends itself to fashions that flow with ease. Plus, superbly smart sunspecs are the captivating “piece de resistance” to complete summer chic.

Stylish sunglass designs abound with great variety in diverse silhouettes, materials, and colors. Sustainability and care for the planet are also among the components that designers incorporate into their designs. As the ideal summer season is dedicated to play and relaxation, shapes are imaginative, sometimes a bit quirky, and statement-making.

Götti Switzerland heralds the summer season with Corbo, a glamorous bold shape from Sven Götti and the Dimension Collection. Although crafted at the company’s lake-based headquarters in Wädenswil, Switzerland, the elegant soft curves of Corbo bring to mind the dramatic flow of ocean waves. The 3D-printed polyamide is rounded off by a silky surface, and the pleasant lightness of the frame is extremely comfortable to wear. Shown in Sand, Corbo is available in fifteen different colors. This frame sets the mood for sunshine and sea!
