Europa Expands Its Kids Collection With Flexible Eyewear

Europa is expanding its beloved kids line, DB4K with its first flexible styles. The sub-collection, called DB4K React, is made from strong yet flexible BPA-free and latex-free Pebax^® Rnew^® – an eco-friendly, hypoallergenic material that can be heated for lens insertion and adjustments.

DB4K React’s debut collection features 9 styles, including an upcoming baby model, in a fun-to-wear range of translucent and two-tone colorways. The signature fused React crinkle hinge was engineered to combine strength, flexibility, and comfort. Ergonomic temples hug the head to keep glasses in place during play and sport, and a color-coordinated, removable strap is included with each frame for extra security. The React case even has a carabiner to attach to backpacks. An eco-friendly display box and coordinating mat is available with 15-piece orders.

Pebax^® Rnew^® is made from castor beans that absorb atmospheric CO2 while they grow, require little irrigation, and do not contribute to deforestation, making DB4K React an eco-friendly, sustainable option parents can feel good about buying and opticals can feel good about carrying.

This Pebax^® material is an easy-to-grow “cash crop” for independent family farms in the Gujarat region of India. The lucrative crop further supports regional farmers with educational programs promoting sustainable farming, leading to a 30% reduction in their collective water use. Programs like this have already helped over 6,000 farms across 80 villages earn a living wage while caring for our environment.
