Europa Unveils Ultra-Thin Acetate Scott Harris UTX

Europa Eyewear will introduce ultra-thin acetates into their Scott Harris line under the subcollection SH-UTX. The initial release of SH-UTX, will feature six ultra-thin acetate styles that offer lightweight comfort and the fresh styles, vibrant colors, and premium quality Scott Harris is known for.

“We wanted to create an ultra-thin collection that delivers all of the benefits of acetate, especially the rich colors, but make it more comfortable. Especially now that we are all wearing masks, having a lightweight frame makes a big difference in comfort by the end of the day,” said SH-UTX designer, Nico Roseillier.

Scott Harris UTX combines handmade acetate with high-tech heat compression, resulting in ultra-thin acetate with a higher density than HD acetate options in the market. The resulting material is roughly 50% thinner than traditional acetate. Paired with stainless steel temples, SH UTX looks are lightweight, but heavy on style. Even the embedded
hinge plate carries a peekaboo polka dot or stripe pattern visible through crystal colorways. The embedded hinge boasts a seamless transition from front to temple and is fully adjustable using a two-screw system.

The winter release of the first six styles offers designs for men and women in a wide range of colorways. More SH-UTX style will be added to the line throughout 2021.
