I recommend #GirlBoss to everyone, men, women and especially millennials. This is the story of Sophia Amoruso who literally went from selling rags to selling riches. She went from selling vintage clothes on ebay to being one of the worlds richest women worth $280 Million at the age of 28. A self-made millionaire, just by opening an edgy e-commerce store called nastygal.com
What I loved, was not just the story of how she did it, but how there are no excuses and the business advice was appropriate for anyone, covering everything from money to branding to working hard to hiring to loving what you do.
There are several chapters that really struck me: Chapter 5: Money looks better in the bank than on your feet. One of the things I hate are those who complain they don’t have any money, as they are sitting there drinking a $4 latte from Starbucks.. Chapter 8: Hiring, Staying Employed and Firing. ” A lot of people in my generation don’t seem to get you have to work your way up….”
