Shamir continuously supports eye care professionals with launch of new education portal.

San Diego, CA – October, 2016 – Shamir Insight, Inc., manufacturers of premium Freeform® progressive lenses, announces the release of their Continuing Education Portal designed to help eye care professionals better serve their patients.  The portal focuses on staff education in both new technology and refresher courses.  The site is now live: www.quantumoptical.com/shamirCEPortal with free access to all eye care professionals.

The newly launched education portal contains 21 self-guided Shamir developed presentations.  Created with eye care professionals in mind, the goal was to establish a unique education resource center, that provided the latest information on Shamir products, education certifications and industry updates all in one centralized location.

We could not be more excited to offer such an amazing educational tool to assist eye care practitioners in furthering their knowledge around technology, practice management, optics and managed vision care, to name a few topics. This will be a beneficial tool for onboarding, keeping up with the latest information and as a refresher,” said Pam Benson Gibson, Director of Education.

In addition to Shamir’s education modules and in conjunction with Quantum Optical, for a small fee, the portal also offers over 90 courses for CE credits including four COPE courses.

Shamir launched their Vitamin See (www.thevitaminsee.com) blog last year in an effort to provide eye care professionals highly useful information and key business strategies. The Continuing Education portal is another example of Shamir’s dedication to empowering partners with the tools to help build their practices. The company is also working on developing a portal for labs with the same idea in mind, which will be released soon.
