MONDOTTICA Extends Sustainability & Ethical Commitments by Joining UN Global Compact Network UK

Mondottica- Global Compact Network UK

MONDOTTICA has announce its membership of the United Nations Global Compact and the UN Global Compact Network UK — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world with more than 14,000 companies and 3,500 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries and 70 Local Networks.

To further our efforts to sustainable and responsible business practices, MONDOTTICA has committed to operationalize the Ten universally accepted Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“Today, I am extremely pleased to announce MONDOTTICA’s membership of the UN Global Compact Network UK, enhancing our commitment to deliver best practice, and measure our impact from our operations affecting the environment, human rights, labor, and anti-corruption within the global eyewear industry,” says Tony Pessok, Chief Executive Officer, MONDOTTICA.

“Inherent in our aim to create well-made and beautiful eyewear for our customers to use and love for a long time is our responsibility to make considered choices in the way we design, source and operate to influence positive change for people and planet,” says Pessok.

Recent steps MONDOTTICA has made include establishing an internal group to lead its sustainability efforts, focusing on areas such as product, packaging, POS, energy, and working in partnership with our supply chain, our people, and our communities to meet our goals and create positive impact.
