MyVisionShow, a New York-based endeavor inspired by an obvious need to connect in a safe virtual environment, is readying its inaugural Virtual Trade Show, created by innovator Charlene Nichols, and will feature new live stream innovations, alongside an immersive experience, called the Eyewear Art Walk.
Mrs. Nichols states, “VisionShow fills a growing need to foster a culture of collaboration among the various independent segments of the eyecare industry. This new Virtual Eco-System will set the stage for future innovation and collaborations in a time that we really need it.”
Mrs. Nichols continues, “VisionShow plans include multiple experiences in virtual halls dedicated to introducing innovative products and services, education, and mentoring. The six unique experiences are the Exhibition, the Optical Near Me, the Eyewear Artwalk, the Factory, the MBA, the Hall of Leaders. We acknowledge that each segment of our industry deserves its own hommage, respectful of the uniqueness and of the importance each plays in the eyecare business as a whole. During this time of elevated health concerns, major events were canceled where groups of people gather. We believe that it is very important to provide an alternative that facilitates the continuation of communication within the optical industry”.
A highlight of the Vision Show initiative’s experience is the Eyewear Artwalk; a curated gallery of art-centric eyewear creations, mixed with original works showcasing the talent of optical industry artists. In concert with The Eyewear ArtWalk, Charlene has secured Lisa Nicole Studios as the first artist and curated many of Lisa’s original works, self-portraits, and ceramic sculptures to pair well with the original eyewear creations mixed into the gallery. As a seasoned optical professional in the Washington State area, Lisa Nicole fell in love with the idea of the Eyewear Artwalk and is excited for the debut of her Art in the gallery.
“We were initially attracted to the VisionShow platform with the intention to connect with our clients virtually since all the major brick and mortar international eyewear trade show events have all been canceled this Spring”, comments creator Stephen Fournier, owner of art-centric designs; Casanova, Taxi and Davette’s Lunettes collections. “After more immersion into the concept, we became early adopters, and feel the virtual events from VisionShow will continue to be relevant well into the future, enhancing our ability to stay connected with our eyewear fans, and while enjoying new connections, we can continue working well in parallel, the same as we do at the large industry conferences.”
