Thanks to its extraordinary design qualities, Silhouette’s Futura Collection became a global bestseller when it first hit the scene back in 1973. With the launch of the limited edition Futura Dot, Silhouette is showing that it still maintains the highest levels of creativity and craftsmanship that helped it make its name all those years ago. The Futura Dot Collection forms a bridge between the world of the 1970s and the future. Wearers of this design can embody the creative flair that emphasized Silhouette’s original success while sporting a trendy, futuristic look. Futura Dot is the kind of sunglasses that everyone aspires to own, but only 1,964 pairs – symbolizing Silhouette’s birth year – will be available to purchase around the world.
Ultra-light, comfortable and unique
Futura Dot’s innovative polyamide shield, crafted from Silhouette’s ultra-durable SPX®+ material, offers lightweight comfort, while the delicate side cut-outs create a truly head-turning look. The high-tech titanium temples can be trimmed and adjusted to provide a perfect, customizable fit for each customer, and like all Silhouette sunglasses, the Futura Dot collection is available with prescription lenses. Each pair of Futura Dot glasses is unique, bearing its own serial number on the inside of the shield. To accentuate the exclusive character of the glasses, each pair comes with a certificate and a special-edition cleaning cloth.
Style and hand-craftsmanship, “Made in Austria”
Each pair of Futura Dot sunglasses is created almost exclusively by hand by Silhouette. This includes milling and coloring the distinctive signature dot and the edges of each model with the utmost care and precision. The special edition is available in four retro-inspired colors: Black and White, Olive Grove, Nostalgic Brown, and Atlantic Blue.
