How many people walk by your store every day? It could be dozens. It could be thousands. Are you doing anything to attract their attention? I can’t tell you how many optical shops I’ve seen whose most daring piece of outreach is a sign in the window saying they have eye exams inside.
Then there are those shops in every city who don’t let a day go by without a smile, without that little extra effort that makes them succeed where others just complain. One such shop is Eye Candy, a two-store local Wisconsin chain owned by Paula Hornbeck.
