For those who can never remember the Roman numerals for Super Bowl, as of this year, they have switched to numbers. This the BIG 50! It is also late this year coming on February 7. You have plenty of time to rally the troops and start your fun now with a little opti-gating.
- 111.5 Million Viewers on TV in 2015 for Super Bowl 2015
- 12.37 Billion amount of estimated Super Bowl consumer spending
- $118 Average cost of Super Bowl parties.
We have come up with several ways to have some fun with one of the most watched and celebrated events in the world:
1.) Have Displays with football jerseys, football helmets along with Safety Sport Eyewear can be used all year long. Be sure to put up bulleted safety features to educate your patients. The same display can be used For Sports Safety Month in April.
2.) Encourage the cool factor of Sports Safety wear with Football players wearing Eyeglasses. Even Vintage Posters are good.
3.) Have a an Opti-Gate Super Bowl Party. Decorate the office in your team colors (whether they are going or not). Put out traditional tailgate fair and invite your patients to come in and place a bet. Wear special Football glasses.. We love these custom rimless made by Charlie Blankenship.
4.) Have a mock football game in the parking lot (if possible) or even bring in a Fussball Game and have a contest.
5.) Game Day, Friday or Saturday, give away a pair of Ficklest to every kid who comes in. We love the Ficklets charm from Rons Optical or even fill an eyeglass case with a raffle ticket for a free eye exam or a discount.
6.) Via Social Media, start a Football Countdown with Football Trivia. You can find Trivia here. Another idea have your patients share their favorite Super Bowl moments in history.
7.) Have a survey on Facebook asking who their favorite team or even have survey on who they think is going to win.
Any other suggestions?
Super Bowl Sunday is a huge opportunity for eyecare professionals to inject a bit of fun and connect with your patients.
