Did you know that Shark Eyes use a lens that is 7x more powerful than a human? They can make out a light that is 10x dimmer than what a human can see.
Sharks have a layer of reflective crystals just behind the retina called the tapetum lucidum. This reflective layer along the back of their eyes reflects light allowing sharks to see about ten times as much as humans in water. Your cat at home has them as well, which is why their eyes, like the eyes of a shark, glow in the dark.
