Marchon Eyewear, Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of quality eyewear and sunwear, proudly revitalizes its Skaga brand with a new campaign, website, and design direction to accompany the latest eyewear collection. The proprietary brand celebrates over 70 successful years of Scandinavian design, heritage, and elevated craftsmanship under the payoff “Swedish by Nature since 1948.”
True to its Swedish roots, Skaga offers unique and stylish eyewear paired with a modern, minimalist aesthetic. Appealing to consumers across multiple generations and designed for both men and women, Skaga frames are sleek in design, sophisticated, and constructed with premium materials. The new Skaga eyewear collection features a mix of acetate, metal, and titanium styles, all thoughtfully constructed to incorporate modern design attributes while reinforcing a new direction and refresh for the brand. Aligning with the new design direction, all creative assets will showcase clean, minimalist styling and durable, lightweight designs in classic colorations.
“Different Look, Same Heritage” is the new tagline and campaign direction for Skaga, portrayed in the eyewear designs and messaging. The new optical collection features sleek, timeless frames with updated design details that meet the distinct functionality the brand is known for. For the first time, Skaga will introduce styles made from at least 45% bio-based cellulose acetate, a cleaner alternative to standard petroleum-based plastics, focusing on the brand’s commitment and care for the planet.
“Ever since its creation in 1948, Skaga has been a brand that challenges the eyewear category, offering contemporary designs, leading-edge materials and elevated functionality,” said Thomas Burkhardt, Senior Vice President of Global Brands, Marketing & Design at Marchon Eyewear, Inc. “We are thrilled to now introduce Skaga’s evolved brand positioning behind a strong, engaging campaign and very attractive new eyewear designs.”
Starting this Fall/Winter season, the Skaga optical collection will be available through select optical retailers in the US, Canada, and Europe, while the Asia Pacific will launch the collection in 2022.
