The Optical Women’s Association is proud to welcome two industry powerhouses in new leadership roles on its 2022-2023 Board of Directors.
Megan Molony, Chief Merchandising and Managed Care Officer for National Vision, moves up to the OWA Executive Committee in the position of Secretary/Treasurer, replacing Janelle Pauli, who recently accepted a job outside the optical industry. Megan joined the Board of Directors in 2019 and also serves as the Co-Chair of OWA’s Professional Development Fund (PDF) Committee.
Katie Lauver, Vice President of Business Relations for GPN Technologies, will be joining the board as an OWA director. Katie was the recipient of the 2022 OWA Emerging Leader Award and has played an active role on OWA’s PDF committee, working closely with OWA’s many industry sponsors.
Deb Bulken, President of the OWA, said “It is bittersweet to wish Janelle Pauli the best in her new role in a new industry, but I do so on behalf of the entire OWA Board of Directors. Janelle led the development of the OWA website to its current height and prepared it for a beautiful handoff to Katie Lauver, who brings amazing talent and passion to this critical role. We wish Janelle and Katie both the best in achieving all they strive to accomplish in their careers.
Megan Molony is no stranger to success and has been a leader in the industry for many years. As the upcoming 2023 Person Of Vision Honoree, we are fortunate to have her talent on the board. She is committed to giving back to future female leaders of the industry, and for that reason, the Board is honored to have her accept the role of Secretary-Treasurer on the Executive Committee. The future is brighter for us all, thanks to the contributions of these extraordinary women!”
