Harvick’s Second Nationwide Series Win of Season Comes June 27 As He Overtakes Kyle Busch Late in Race
Wiley X® sponsored racer Kevin Harvick® recently earned his second NASCAR Nationwide Series victory of this season, passing Kyle Busch late in the June 27 race to take the checkered flag before cheering fans at Kentucky Motor Speedway.
Harvick led the race twice for a total of 14 laps, but had to regain the lead for good following a penalty re-start on Lap 196. Following the restart, Harvick’s Chevrolet shot past Busch’s Toyota on the backstretch and never looked back. The victory was Harvick’s 42nd in 302 career starts, but marked the first time he had won at Kentucky Motor Speedway since 2001.
